My sister and I checked out “Sirkel Foods Inc”:http://sirkelfoodsstratford.com/, this great eatery across from City Hall on the market square in Stratford that seems to have captured the heart of the locals. It is only open for breakfast and lunch (8:00 am – 3:00 pm Mon – Sat) and has a busy trade of diners and take-out.
We both had salads for lunch; my sister off the menu and me off the specials board. The sandwiches we saw at other tables looked huge! My sister had the bikini salad which consists of mixed greens, chick peas, croutons, feta, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes in an in-house vinaigrette. I wasn’t able to get through my whole salad as it was chock full of romaine lettuce, chicken, bacon, avocado, mushrooms, parmesan and croutons (different than my sister’s salad). Both salads were $10.25 and well worth it.
They make their own breads, croutons and dressings and there are many gluten free options. There is angle parking out front and a large parking lot serving downtown behind on Erie Street.
