Great show, dire seats. The palace is a wonderful theatre in the middle of Manchester, plenty of decoration and well laid out, my gripe, and it is a gripe, is the poor seats, they are low, have less leg room than a low cost airline and they are tiny, I am slim and I felt squashed, at 5'10'' I struggled and it does affect the viewing pleasure if you are uncomfortable. There are plenty of toilets and bars to make purchases and a good central location make it a great venue apart from the seating, There is ample cheap parking nearby and it is central for bus and tram passengers. As for Shrek, the show is amazing, I cannot fault it, it was witty with great singing, dancing, costumes and jokes. I would give the show 10, the venue a 5, those seats are awful and I will choose elsewhere for any shows I want to see in future until it changes.
