This was a beautiful relaxing cruise we boarded the ship serenade 2 in Linz after an overnight hotel in Belgium . We sailed to melk where you could visit the wonderful Abby, we didn’t do this as we had been before so opted to visit the town itself. This was so pretty and the sunshine helped. There was a small market here selling cheeses and meats, fruits and veg. Next stop was Vienna a visit to the cafe sacher is a must, waitresses in frilly aprons and old style surroundings. The coffee and sachertorte was delicious although a little pricey but it’s the experience and ambiance that you pay for around £20 for 2 . There is so much to see here from opera, Spanish riding school, flaker ride, palace and lots more. Slovakia was our next port of call I wasn’t sure about here but it was fantastic even on a Sunday . Clean, friendly, nice shops we visited an ice cream parlour as it was so hot the choice and service was excellent and very clean. Would like to go back this was Bratislava. Finally we arrived in Budapest I had been many years ago but I thought it was much cleaner now . Still fantastic weather we just had a coffee here although here all day as all meals were included on board ship. The ship was fantastic crew very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a cabin on Chopin deck which was spacious and comfortable even had a fridge. Bathroom had bath with shower over and a walk in shower too.
