Reasons for trip

We spent only the 1 night a Selsdon Park. We had booked bed and breakfast with Late Rooms.com for £68 so didn’t expect anything special. However we were pleasantly surprised. We were upgraded to a Superior room with a huge stone bay window overlooking the golf course and park, plus a huge bed. Buffet breakfast was also very good. This is a grand hotel, perhaps slightly dated, but still very comfortable, set amid its own park and golf course. Only down side was that the check-in was very very slow, and having booked an easily accessible room because of my walking difficulties, I had to walk miles.
