We stayed at the Seaview Hotel in June 2012 on the recommendation of a friend who had stayed there twice before.

The hotel is about a 40 minute taxi ride from Phuket airport on the east coast of Phuket island. Seaview is at the quiet south end of Patong beach about 15 minutes walk from the nightlife and the new shopping centre.

The rooms are a good size with either seaview, creek view or garden view. There are two excellent swimming pools. The breakfast buffet is superb and runs from 6:30 to 10:30. They also have a good spa with reasonable priced treatments.

As with other holidays in Thailand what makes the hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Nothing is a problem here.

They have a sister hotel at Karon beach about a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride away and if they have rooms they will let you split your holiday between the two hotels. Karon is much quieter than Patong.

We had a good meal in the hotel one evening slightly spoiled by the resident music duo who were not very good. But there are numerous restaurants and cafe's within a 10 minute walk. Papadums (Indian) and Yellow Saffron (Thai/Italian) are excellent and very close to the hotel.
