We had 3 nights in Labrador and we chose Forteau as it was central to most of the places we would be visiting.
There are two blocks of cabins. Numbers 1-4 are older and have 2 bedrooms. Cabins 5-8 have a single bedroom. Cabins 5 and 7 are basement cabins with restricted views from the window. For sea views you need to be in Cabin 8. There was a washing machine next to cabin 7. There is plenty of parking outside the cabins.
We were in cabin 7 so had poor views from the windows. It was large and comfortable with very effective heating and clothes dried well. The door lead into a large open plan kitchen and living area with bathroom off and bedroom beyond. There was a sofa and easy chair, TV and hanging area. The dining area had table and chairs with the kitchen area beyond with modern wood units. There was cooker, m/v, big fridge freezer, coffee maker and kettle. Cooking utensils and crockery were adequate
There was plenty of space in the bedroom which had queen size bed, chest of drawers and bedside tables. The bathroom was nice with a reasonable supply of towels but they were not very large and a bit thin. This was one of the few places we stayed where where towels were replaced every day and bed linen changed.
Wireless internet was advertised but not working in our cabin. This was reported to the restaurant who assured us the fault would be fixed but it wasn’t.
The cabins are owned by the proprietors of the Seafood Restaurant (fish chowder is highly recommended) across the road and the convenience store which has a reasonable selection of goods, including fresh fruit and vegetables.
