There really is something for everyone at this fabulous museum of fairground rides, organs, steam engines and vintage cars. If you're an oldie like me, you'll be taken back to your childhood on a nostalgia trip. If you're a young 'un, I'm sure you'll enjoy the rides. I had a go on the galloping horses, but there is also the ark, the dodgems, the caterpillar, and smaller rides for kiddies. The music from the Wurlitzers is a treat, and there is plenty to look at. Tractors, motorcycles, trains, caravans, cadillacs and miniature cars. There is even a hall of mirrors, which will have you in stitches. If you go on a Wednesday, they have afternoon tea dances. Even if you're not up for dancing, it's wonderful to watch. They have a bar and an excellent choice of sandwiches and snacks at inexpensive prices. The crumpets with honey are delicious! A fabulous day out. 2013 opening times are Wednesday – Sunday 20th March to 3rd November (10am – 4pm). (Closed every Monday & Tuesday except Bank Holidays). (Also closed 7th July; 24th August; 31st August). Admission £7 (Includes one free ride).
