The other week my sister and I went on the “Pumpkin Trail”:https://visitstratford.ca/ in Stratford, Ontario. It is part of Stratford’s Savour Stratford series run through the Tourist office and is only available in September and October however, other culinary trails run year round. For $25 you receive six vouchers that you can redeem at any of 26 businesses for a pumpkin related product. Along with the vouchers you receive a guide listing all the vendors and what you can get at each of them, and a map. Most of the businesses are in downtown Stratford and make for an easy walk around town. Five of the businesses are in the small town of St. Mary’s, just to the southwest of Stratford. You do not have to use all the vouchers at once as they are good to the end of the month.
The products vary and include: soap, soup, seeds, cupcakes, beer, cookies, tea, coffee beans, liquor, napkins, fudge, peanut brittle, sweet potato fries and pancake/waffle mix. I can attest to a delicious pumpkin caramel cheesecake cupcake with cream cheese frosting, caramel and cinnamon Chantilly cream from Kandy Cakes and the pancake/waffle mix from Bradshaws kitchen shop.
I have been on the “Chocolate Trail”:https://www.silvertraveladvisor.com/review/attraction/152991-review-savour-stratford-chocolate-trail before while my sister did the Bacon and Ale Trail. I look forward to the Christmas Trial coming up in December.
