Having visited twice, it is interesting to see how different the occasions were. Visited on my own, and although I was going to choose the set menu, there were lots of interesting dishes on main menu so went for that.
Giant green olives, which I love, 16 for £3.95 (so perfect to share really). Seafood skewer on carrot and courgetti spaghetti sounded very healthy and was a good price at £6.95. Three king prawns on the skewer, with heads and tails but these came away easily, with a lovely mix of garlic, chilli and tomato oil. Both were starters but were perfect for lunch. Not so healthy was the accompanying glass of Pinot Grigio at £6.95, light crisp with a pear and apple aroma – sigh.
However, when I returned a few weeks later with my husband, the service was very poor, we had to ask twice for a finger bowl for the skewer dish and ordered 175ml glass of wine but charged for 250ml. My dish of scallops was good, but in reality, it is very expensive for what you actually get. The manager did refund the difference in price for glass of wine, but we are unlikely to visit again, which is a pity as it is a good location overlooking the Bay. £32.99 after 20% discount.
