Visited with a friend. Sally Lunn's had been recommended to us by my friend's sister. Her praise did not do justice! We were enchanted by the little shop/cafe and it was almost too difficult to decide amongst the variations fo the Sally Lunn that was served. I chose a topping of butter and lemon curd and my friend cinammon butter. Niether of us were disappointed. The food and tea served were delicious!
Our little waitress was a delightul girl who could not do enough to please us. It was a truly enjoyable and worthwhile experience that I hope to repeat again one day.
We visited the little museum (really small just a room) and were fascinated by the model of the floors in the buildings and the food items on display along with the model of a kitchen with the faggot oven which is what the original Sally Lunns were made.
If you visit Bath take the time to visit this shop and give yourself a treat. You wont regret it. If you have difficult climbing stairs I would not try this as there are a couple of flights to be navigated. Otherwise give it a go!
