We've been Friends of the Royal Academy for two years now, and do enjoy the access this provides. It started for us with the Van Gogh Exhibition, but over the months we've been to several more – the Glasgow Boys, Sargent and more recently Degas on ballet and human movement.
What may be less well known – and very much applicable to Silver Travellers is their 'Access and Communities' Programme. We've attended some of the sessions. Whatever the problem there's access for all – limited mobility, visual impairment, hard of hearing, dementia and Alzheimer's, even alcohol and drug problems.
