Stayed in this picture postcard cottage in May this year, absolute perfection for a couple a true romantic hideaway. Furnished to a very high standard throughout including dishwasher, flat screen TV and complete with a lovely log burner for the chilly winter evenings. Tresco itself is a true hidden gem, The Caribbean meets Old England with Palm trees and deserted lovely white sandy beaches. Loads to do we walked our socks off and visited many of the other Islands using the local boat services.
Plenty of good places to eat and drink along with swimming pools and tennis courts.
The Abbey gardens are glorious and worth the visit alone along with the Red squirrels recently introduced.
Even the journey to get here is interesting via either the Scilloian Ferry or as we did the Skybus from either Land’s End, Newquay or Exeter airports. Quite a relief from the crowds at Heathrow. All land at St Mary’s followed by the Jet boat to Tresco.
Why we have never been here before I can’t imagine, no wonder people come back year after year.
