Top of the Rockefeller Center – Viewing platform. The tickets for this are timed and the cost was £114 for 6 of us. Compared to the Empire State building, this is a must, there are shorter waiting times and the photos from the top are of the Empire state building and central park, you do not get the Empire state building in your photos if you are standing on it. Access is by high speed lift, tip – watch the lights through the glass roof as you go up! We paid extra for the tourist photo sitting on the girder, I wouldnt bother, it costs a few dollars and isnt really worth it, the photo gets emailed back to you and looks so fake its embarrassing. There are toilets and refresments available on site, the lower levels are wheelchair accessible, not the very top deck however. Ideal for fantastic panoramic photos of Manhatten Island and central park.
