A wonderful location by the Thames in Henley the River and Rowing museum is a very interesting one covering the local history, a tremendous Wind in the Willows gallery for all ages, with low sections for children to enjoy, but bringing the illustrations from the book to life.
The story of the River Thames is shown with lots of information about water, and of course the international sport of rowing. Try out your rowing skills on a machine, look at various boats.
Free parking to visit the museum and a super cafe too. Plenty for children with the current exhibition on Snowman and the Snowdog and how they made the film.
The ticket you buy is valid for a year so see all the exhibitions as they come along.
