19 of us travelled to our daughters wedding. The hotel was lovely, the restaurants and bars were good too. The beach and garden were gorgeous. This is our 2nd visit to a Riu hotel, but this not as good.
The wedding planner was average at best and despite paying beach tax for the wedding on the beach it was moved indoors as they thought it might rain (it didn't) after moving it inside the planner forgot to bring the chair sashes and other personal things my daughter had specially brought with her to compliment her colour scheme. The restaurant was inundated with Mosquitos and we were told we couldn't eat outside despite several of the other restaurants being open air. Lots of other little niggles that spoiled what should have been a perfect day.
As a holiday it's a lovely place, unfortunately we had to be moved from our room as it was damp and smelled foisty, we were the only ones in the party with this issue so I guess we were unlucky, we were moved to the rear of the hotel overlooking the car park so were unimpressed. The only other issue is only1hour free wifi in the reception area not good for a 5 star hotel.
That said there were lots of positives and I would recommend as a holiday destination just not for a wedding.
