Once you walk into the grounds, you will get the wow factor. This is an amazing ruin to look at. The problem for me though is that once you've seen it, and oohed and aahed for a bit, that's it. There is a small exhibition, and a shop, and a very average café, and that's your lot. Rievaulx Abbey is worth seeing if you're in the area, and you must pick a warm dry day.
