The Abruzzo coast in Italy is a delightful gem to discover. The beautiful Adriatic coast is unspoilt and is a destination for Italian holidaymakers as well as foreign tourists. Vasto old town is perched up in the hills and is charming. We stayed at the Hotel Dei 7 just 5 minutes walk from the main Piazza Rossetti. This hotel is 3 star and was comfortable and quiet. The rooms are clean, in a modern style and some have balconies and sea views. Breakfast is adequate, continental style, taken in a small dinning room. The staff speak a little English and are very friendly & helpful. It's a good base for exploring this lovely region of Italy.
