The Rector’s Palace used to be the administrative centre of the Dubrovnik Republic. It was built in the late Gothic style with later additions. The Palace is now a museum housing a wide variety of cultural exhibits.
We spent around an hour within the museum and found the building and exhibits quite fascinating but not particularly inspiring. Our visit was somewhat spoilt by Japanese tourists taking photos. on their mobile phones. They simply ignored the no photography pictogram signs around the museum.
For us, the Rector’s Palace is worth a visit but certainly not a “must see”.
