The sunlight was shimmering on the water and the sun was warming our bones after the winter. It was lunch time in Sidmouth and we were opposite The Prospect Plaice and thought what could be more delightful than sunning ourselves whilst eating fish and chips on the beach in March.
Generous portions so a tip would be to do as I did and have the child’s portion of cod and chips for £4.95. Extra £1 for freshly cooked peas.
A good selection which included veggie burger and jacket potatoes with cheese and beans for non meat eaters.
Beautifully cooked and not overly greasy.
It is possible to eat in if you’re unlucky with the weather.
I so rarely eat fried food but it was a real treat and enjoyed by us all.
