We booked here because we had a Christmas dinner in London that could possibly go on late and we didn't fancy the late night commute back to Essex. Situated on Dukes Road it's a stones throw from Euston station but also pretty close to Kings Cross and St Pancras. At reception we were warmly greeted by Guett who encouraged us to use the self check in equipment but he stood by, holding our bags, ready to offer assistance if needed. I'd mentioned that Linda was a light sleeper & so we needed a quiet room & Guett spotted that the auto allocated room wasn't the quietest one they had to offer, so changed it to one less likely to be troubled by any road noise. Whilst check in procedures were finalised we had a very pleasant chat with Guett, he had the ability to be working & make pleasant small talk at the same time. He even gave us 24 hours complimentary Wi-Fi which was a nice touch. By the time we were heading towards the lifts we felt very much like valued guests, so a great job done by Guett. The lifts require card access, so that's good security. The room is the same good quality bedding & essential elements that are comfortingly standard across the brand, but this one also had a safe. This could be hired for £1:50 per day & a welcome addition to the normal items you find in Premier Inn rooms. Considering we were in Central London at Christmas the room was quiet as promised & their good night guarantee was fulfilled. The breakfast room is fronted by a Costa, so that's very handy if you don't want breakfast but need to crab a decent cup of coffee. Not cheap to stay but it is London at Christmas & when I heard some of the stories of people's journeys home we were so glad we'd booked in here for a comfortable end to a good night out.
