This is a hotel I've used before, knowing the standard of accommodation I can expect from Premier Inn – and it being one of many hotels suitable for overnight (pre or post-flight) stop-over for anyone flying into or out of London Heathrow. Not a 'holiday' location!
Bedrooms are comfortably fitted-out and relatively spacious (in my experience!) and the bathrooms have always had good working systems.
This particular Inn has a restaurant (for breakfast, lunches and dinner) and also serves bar meals (the same menu as available in the restaurant). The breakfast buffett (choice between 'continental' and 'cooked' – lower price for the continental) offered a good standard and variety for both options. Then there's 'Costa Coffe' and vending machines.
The Premier Inn group has recently introduced a 30-minute free wifi facility (I did grudge paying in the past – in this day and age it's a service that should at least have some free time, so this is a big step forward as far as I'm concerned) – but I was disappointed to find that the signal was not available in my particular room in the centre of the quadrangle-shaped building. Reception had no hesitation in looking for an alternative room for me, and there was a promise to look into the problem to get it sorted for the future.
Reception was pleasant and professional from the word go; but the bar staff (and the breakfast room staff in the morning) did give the impression of being under pressure in this busy airport hotel .. and it didn't take much effort from me to get a smile and a cheery word.
