We always stay in Premier Inns where possible because we know exactly what we are getting for our money. That said, it can be hit and miss as far as the staff are concerned.
The plug got stuck in the wash basin and it just wouldn't budge, we went to reception where she explained that it was a fairly new installation (all the rooms had been recently upgraded) and that they had had a lot of problems with the new basin sink plug but she had just the tool for the job – a screwdriver. This dislodged the plug well – problem solved.
On the way to our evening meal we asked about the local bus service to town. By the time we returned she has a) printed out a street map, b) found the times of the buses, where the nearest stop was and c) even how much the fare would be!
Now to the one downside of this Premier Inn, the nearest place to eat is TGI Friday but on all our days here it was packed with party groups. Not a big problem if you have a car or don't mind a fair walk. But just be aware, especially if it is raining.!
Please bear in mind that this Inn does NOT have any lifts although they did offer to help us with our cases if needed.
