This is well sited on the A944 on the Aberdeen side of Westhill. It is next to Tesco and The Shepherd’s Nest on site provides breakfasts and evening meals. It is a pleasant building with a nice reception area and very friendly receptionists. It is a very long building and we were given a room on the ground floor at the end of a long corridor. At the back of the building, overlooking a grassy bank with trees, we were way from any traffic noise.
It was a typical Premier Inn room with a large and very comfortable bed with a choice of hard or soft pillows. There was a second couch bed which we used for our suitcase and to keep bags off the floor. There was a small table and easy chair as well as a work area with small flat screen TV and another chair. There was a kettle and reasonable supply of tea bags and coffee as well as a reasonable amount of shelf and hanging space with additional hooks. Lighting is reasonable and there is a small bedside light each.
The bathroom was a good size meaning two people could be in there at the same time. The over the bath shower was good. Bath mat, soap and shower gel are provided, although we only had two large and one small towel provided. Being at the end of the corridor, hot water could take a long time to run hot. The room was warm and shirts and underwear dried overnight.
We like Premier Inns and find their standards are consistent and better than Travelodge. This is convenient as a base if you don’t want to be in Aberdeen. Prices, especially at weekends or on a super saver are good value.
