This cottage, I came across quite by chance on doing an internet search, after my adult son & I decided to take a week in Cornwall in August. It is an old fisherman's cottage on Polkirt Hill, overlooking the beautiful Mevagissey harbour. It is 2 bedroom, one on the groundfloor, as well as the kitchen, dining room & downstairs loo. All very well equipped, such as washer/dryer, coffee machine. The second bedroom, spacious bathroom & living room are on the first floor. The living room has stunning views over the harbour & the open sea. Very clean & well maintained. As you book directly with the owners, they provided a detailed map of how to get to the cottage, a harbour parking pass for the week & information, such as no free cash machines in Mevagissey. I would say that the cottage would not be suitable for anyone with very young children or anyone with mobility issues, due to the layout of the cottage & the walk from where you park the car on the harbour (cannot park near the cottage). However, plenty of good restaurants, pubs, cafes in Mevagissey & interesting aqaurium & museum. As this is also still a working harbour, it is very interesting to see the fishing boats coming & going. There are a couple of vineyards within a 15-20 minute drive of Mevagissey, which are also interesting & sell high quality wine (we bought a few bottles)!! All in all, a very pretty & interesting place to visit.
