Reasons for trip

This delightful park is an absolute gem. It's been around for over a hundred years and hasn't really changed all that much, which I suppose is a big part of its charm. There is a lake where you can go boating, a putting green and an 18 hole pitch & putt. The glen has a wonderful tree trail, where you can see beauties such as a handkerchief tree, which looks like its covered in hankies when it's in full bloom. (May/June). There are regular concerts, a naval warfare, tea rooms, toilets, a wishing well, lots of wildlife, and a Chinese pagoda at the top of a hill.
