Not the best entrance to the pub/restaurant through concrete blocks but the car park is extensive and well laid out. Once inside the restaurant the atmosphere was very homely. All the books gave the overall air of well being. The menu is quite large and caters for everyone. The specials are changed every few days so nothing feels stale. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We visited at a quiet time so I hope we are not too rushed when we go back at a peak time.
The food was lovely (you’ll need a big appetite). One good idea was taster puds for £2 so you could finish off with something sweet without having to undo your top button!
I am assured by my other half that the local brew was superb! Hall & Woodhouse.
