On a recent trip to Liverpool we were looking for somewhere for a good cup of coffee to wake me up and decided to head for Patisserie Valerie. Once seated in one of their lovely booths, perusing the menu, we opted to have a late breakfast (served all day) before heading out to do some sightseeing as we were booked on a tour at 12:30 pm. My uncle chose the full English breakfast with two scrambled eggs, bacon, Cumberland sausage, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and toast for £7.95; my aunt chose the eggs benedict on toasted Brioche with grilled bacon and Hollandaise Sauce for £7.80; and I opted for the vegetarian breakfast with baby spinach and Feta cheese frittata, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and toasted Ciabatta for £7.35. It was all delicious. And my vanilla latte hit the spot to wake me up as well.
I have been here before for lunch and sampled the BLT sandwich and chocolate cake. There are many more items on the menu that I want to try! The display of cakes in the window is very tempting.
This cafe is an easy walk from anywhere in the centre of Liverpool and well worth the visit.
