Reasons for trip

An interesting walk through the fascinating Old Town of Perpignan took me to the Palace. As I walked up the Palace grounds I enjoyed great views of Perpignan and its surrounding mountains. As a pensioner, entry cost me just 2 Euros. So I set off around the Palace armed with A3 laminated guide in English. I was impressed by the architecture and learned much history on my tour. During my visit the room walls were hung with modern paintings from a Paris exhibition which I also found interesting. However, if you visit expecting to see a theme park like Warwick Castle you will be very disappointed.
