Reasons for trip

Although we live within 2 hours drive of Oxford it is a city we had never visited before.

There are 4 Park & Rides which are easy to access from whichever direction you come from. However, be warned you do need 2 x £1 coins for the machine where you tap in your car registratiobn before boarding the bus.

The city is absolutely beautiful – there is so much to see and we were thrilled to bee able to look around Balliol (and other) colleges. The atmosphere is cultured (obviously), vibrant and special.

We visited the Ashmoleum Museum and the Modern Art Gallery (both free) where there was a great exhibition of William Morris & Andy Warhol. There are of course, lots of other places to visit and we plan to go back in the Summer and explore the Thames area, other colleges and museums. It's a must!
