I had lunch with a friend at Oscars in Calverton, a small former mining village in Nottinghamshire. We were both very pleased with our outing. Oscars has recently been tastefully renovated. The seating was comfortable and the tables not too close to each other making it easy to chat. The menu offered a nice selection and the food was tasty and well presented. The lunch menu is good value with one course for £7.95, two for £9.95 and three for £11.95.
