This great resort hotel is situated to the south of the main town of Hammamet. The surrounding area seems a bit run down on approach to the hotel but once inside the gates, the extensive mature grounds are very well kept.
On arrival, once inside the reception area you are welcomed with a cold drink and a short introductory chat before being taken to your room with your luggage. There are standard, superior and deluxe rooms available or for that special occasion there are beachfront bungalows too. Having been thete 14 times now, my usual choice is a standard room – these are simply furnished but after all, you only go there to sleep.
Food and drink is available 24 hours a day on an all inclusive basis. The staff at this hotel are outstanding and to my mind, they are among the best i have ever encountered anywhere in the world. There are various places to eat – both restaurants and snack bars. I am so sad that at the current time, we Brits are not allowed to go to Tunisia due to safety problems. The staff must be suffering with so few tourists there. Please give yhem your support and return to this lively place once we are allowed to.
Less mobile people be warned that there are a few steps around the grounds and some rooms only accessible via stairs but if you ask when booking, the staff can usually ensure you get a ground floor room.
