If you are ever in West Cork Ireland please try and visit The Old Head Golf club. You don't have to be into golf to appreciate this superb club, situated right on the peninsular with it's lighthouse and amazing views it takes your breath away. I had the luck to play a round of golf with friends ( We won the game thank god ) as it's very expensive. The day we played was clear and still we had heard from people that if it was windy, well play would be interesting as some off the greens are precariously placed. If you are not a golfer you can still visit, have tea and scones on the veranda, looking out over the majestic Atlantic and think of amazing journeys traveled by many to the great Americas, from the boats filled with people escaping the famine to luxury liners cruising the Atlantic.
