Reasons for trip

This is an amazingly large fortress and we’ll worth a visit. You will need to be a bit fit to get to the top for panoramic views of beautiful Corfu from this headland. If you have children with you keep an eye on them as there are some unguarded steep drops so don’t let them go off exploring on their own. There is a lovely cafe to sit and enjoy refreshments if you cannot walk to the top.

Part of the fortress contains the building of what was once an English Hospital.
The entrance fee is very reasonable and you will enjoy this if you like a bit of history.
