We used this hotel for an overnight prior to joining The Majestic Line's 'Glen Massan' for a 6-night cruise leaving Oban on the Saturday afternoon. Very nice bedroom – plenty of floor space (see photos) – overlooking the harbour. Reception on arrival was friendly and efficient, but when we enquired later (different person) about having decaf' tea/coffee in the room in addition to the regular stuff, we were sent to the bar – and the bartender said we had to get it from reception … similar lack of decaf tea at breakfast in the morning (though they did find decaf coffee).
Staff were a mix of friendly and morose – there seemed to be some conflict there?
Overall it was a nice stay in a good location, but the service and lack of organisation on simple things let it down.
