A National Trust property that really delivers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are magnificent and offer different vistas every time you walk around a corner. We were lucky as the bluebells were glorious and the tulips wonderful. The gardens are kept beautifully. There are also parts of the old house to visit (part destroyed in fire) and although the house is relatively young, the owners built it around reclaimed doors and window frames so it appears much older. Very interesting.
The cafe was well stocked and offered good variety.
