This aquarium had a good write up in our guide book and I think it probably deserved it if you were visiting with children. Although we found it interesting I have been to better ones (in my view) in England. It concentrates on the local water environment and does this well with comprehensive explanations by each tank. It has turtles and alligators as well as fish and we also saw one otter (there may have been more but not visible to visitors).
There is a gift shop that also sells drinks and icecreams, a picnic area with good views over the water and various play areas for children.
Personally I prefer aquariums that also have tanks of attractive tropical fish etc but realise this is not the purpose of this aquarium. Slightly disappointing but not expensive at $7.
