Nature lovers cannot fail to enjoy the walks, the scenery, the wildlife all on show for free. Ponies, cattle & deer roam freely & can be viewed both in the forest on the many walks available & on the many roads through the Forest (but drive carefully & be prepared to stop as the animals assert their right of way always). Having just spent two whole days in the main parts, viewing the Knightwood Oak (oldest over 600 years old). Tallest & Heaviest trees in the Tall Tree trail, Arboretum walk (wide variety of trees), Bolderwood (view deer herds), Reptile Centre & trail (view collection of every reptile found in the Forest) all ages can enjoy & some walks are easy for the less mobile. All in all a wonderful & relaxing experience.
