We spent 3 peaceful and enjoyable nights at Chateau Tilques. Initially we were offered a room on the first floor in the Chateau, but as I have walking problems and there were a lot of stairs and changes of level, we settled for a modern room in the annex, which had a little patio to the front. Also much more convenient for the swimming pool, which was at the end of the corridor. If coming from the Chateau it was necessary to change at the pool, but if staying in the annex it’s a simple stroll down the corridor wearing your bathrobe. Unfortunately although possible to pick up wi-fi in the chateau, the coverage did not appear to extend to the annex. Car parking right outside the annex, as is the restaurant. OK choice for breakfast, although the scrambled egg was the worst I’ve ever had. Only used the restaurant for 1 evening, as very limited choice – especially if, like my wife, you are a vegetarian, and none of the courses were really satisfactory.
