Just got back from a ‘great’ weeks’ island cruising (September 2019) on the MV Emanuel. This is a lovely 1955 character filled boat that is a little bit tired and in need of some TLC, which would include new sun-bed covers, with the chairs & sun-beds on upper deck needing a bit of re-oiling attention – ….Lack of any small tables on the upper deck (ie somewhere to put your drinks) and not enough (12?) sunbeds in general for the 30+ guests..… carpets need to be replaced.
Cabins are small, adequate, and ‘cosy’ so you need to be tidy! Cabins 11,12,13 & 14 are at the bottom of the restaurant stairs so can be a bit noisy when people are going to bed…best cabins to get are 9 & 10 but I think they can book up fast. Sun-bed/swimming towels – cost 50 kuna for the week on the boat. There are ‘set’ meal times: 8am breakfast, 1pm lunch and 7pm dinner (and it is all cleared away fast) – Food and staff fabulous!!
Don’t bother with the Hop on-Hop off bus if you go to Split (110 kuna) does not stop anywhere to ‘get off’ – goes to its destination and turns around and comes back – waste of time!
Would I travel on this boat again – yes
