I’ve wanted to go here ever since it opened, but living on the east coast, it’s not really on my doorstep. I finally got the chance to visit in July, and I can report that it was well worth the wait. The building itself is a masterpiece of modern architecture, that still holds its own with the famous three graces astride the boulevard. The museum is massive and there is so much to see. We barely did it justice, but enjoyed everything that we saw. Highlights for me were The Beatles film, the Grand National exhibits, the overhead railway and the fabulous views from the enormous windows. It’s free to get in; there is a shop, a very nice café, and clean toilets. This is a gem of a museum.
