Reasons for trip

At Weybourne just outside Holt on the A419 in North Norfolk is the Muckleburgh Military Museum.

Approached up a long driveway and passing along the way two Anti-aircraft guns and a Harrier, with ample car parking and easy access Including full disabled access, it’s the place to visit if you have any Interest in the military, land, sea or air.

The museum has in excess of 180 vehicles (150 of those are tanks I believe) of all types on display and all are in full working condition, many of them coming from various locations from around the world such as Russia, Syria, Kuwait and even Goose Green (The Falklands). There is also in excess of 160 other exhibits which include a good collection of small arms of various descriptions, again from around the world.

The heart of the museum is the old military camp NAAFI building which over the years has enjoyed a full restoration. The site has a children’s play area, a picnic area, restaurant and a shop, the usual things you find in any good attraction these days.

Open between 10am and 5pm (last admission 4pm) £10 adults £6 children, no concessions. It's worth a visit, depending on your personal level of interest, you can spend anything from an hour to the whole day there – even dogs are catered for with the addition of new kennels.
