The cottages are just off the main road in the centre of Louisbourg.
There are 5 separate buildings each with two units and parking outside. It was spotlessly clean and provided basic, no frills accommodation. The unit was serviced daily and towels replaced.
There is a large kitchen living area with bathroom off and double and single bedroom at the back. There was a large fridge freezer, stove, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. There was a basic selection of cooking equipment and crockery. In the living area was a dining table with 4 chairs with settee, easy chair and TV. There was plenty of space in the double bedroom .
We were charged the low season rate rather than the rate I'd been quoted when booking.
We were in cabin 6 and wireless internet didn't reach us. It would probably not be available in cabins 7 or 8 either.
Grocery shopping in Louisbourg is basic. Pecks (next to Pecks Housekeeping Cottages) had the best selection, but don't expect a lot. If you are planning to cook your own meals try and stock up in Sydney.
