We found the accommodation clean and well prepared, the staff friendly and very helpful, and the dining room well supplied and serviced.
Unfortunately the swimming pool was temporarily closed for major repairs to the roof, requiring the pool itself to be full of scaffolding and builder’s kit but the well-equipped gymnasium was fully available for use, and not too busy.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for either short stay, or major functions. There was a Young Farmer’s Dinner, absolutely filling the spacious function room, and listening to speeches when we came in late one evening but by early morning the function room was cleared of tables and chairs, and in pristine condition for its next use!
