The Manor House at Bacton is in a wonderful quiet location on the North East coast of Norfolk near the Bacton gas works but you cannot see those from the Manor and they do not bother you! Great walks along the sea and crumbling cliffs from Bacton out to Happisburgh.
The Manor House is a lovely old building from the 1560s with Norfolk reed thatch roof, a big kitchen with Aga which was surprisingly easy to cook on, and kept the kitchen very warm!
There are 3 lovely bedrooms upstairs overlooking a delightful large and private garden with seats outside. The sitting room / dining area is very large with a character inglenook.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and booked via cottages4you even getting a Tesco discount with vouchers.
Places to visit nearby are the Broads, Blicking Hall, Cromer and some lovely gardens at East Rushton.
