This is a fascinating new attraction that opened at the end of 2013 in a beautifully-designed building that is light and airy. It houses tropical and Mediterranean sea creatures in various large tanks, and the theme extends to the children’s play area outside where slides and climbing apparatus look like submarines, octopus and exotic underwater creatures. It is very informative and certainly an interesting attraction whatever your age. There is a spacious café, gift shop and spectacular views across the bay. You can buy a single or family ticket with reduced entry fee for 60+. But, aim to visit in the afternoon as mornings are generally taken up with school trips.
