It’s come a long way since its former life as a prison. Very tastefully decorated in a trendy modern way but has still kept some of the features from its former life.
Stayed in the Thomas Smith suite, inside the door you find the wardrobes and a desk and chair, then to the right you go down one step to the bedroom with a comfortable king size bed. The room also has a chair, bedside tables and a large LCD TV. This flows through to the very modern bathroom has a modern sink and plenty of storage along with toilet,Bath and very efficient overhead shower. Very heavy rain the night we stayed that created a lot of noise on the roof.
A good choice of continental or cooked breakfast menu. Also lovely views of the rooftop bar and terrace. The hotel is centrally located and handy for all the sights and the shops.
The staff were excellent and nothing was to much trouble, only downside £28.50 one nights parking.
