A very comfortable hotel set in lovely grounds with a quiet, relaxed ambience. Staff in the breakfast room and in the bar were very efficient. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable though the wardrobe and bathroom fittings could do with updating- and indeed we were told were due to be refurbished. Breakfast was good with a wide choice though the cooked food was not always as hot as it should have been. We ate in the bar one evening. While the service was excellent the food was very average and frankly over priced for what it was. I had to return the crime brûlée as the sugar had not been properly caramelised, minor but irritating. The pool and spa were very good.
