Personal / family celebration

Los Gigantes is a couples only hotel in the resort of Los Gigantes which is what the initial attraction was and we enjoyed a lovely holiday there. All aspects of hotel good.
We then decided to return a year later and that’s when things went wrong.

I was sick on the flight and it was decided by the airline to take me to hospital when we landed, although I didn’t feel this was necessary. We were told by the airline staff that our luggage would be taken to the hotel, but this didn’t happen and it took three more days for them to find our luggage.

As you can imagine we were not happy with all the ensuing problems this caused and it then took months for the insurance company to pay out. What we didn’t realise was that our insurance didn’t cover us for the inconvenience and distress caused by the loss of the luggage, only for the items bought to keep us going i.e. toothpaste etc.
I don’t know what type of insurance covers that.

I wouldn’t travel with Thomson again as it was their airline, their staff, their hotel and yet they still couldn’t sort the problem. I’ve rarely seen such inefficiency.
