For anyone travelling across the seas to the Isle of Wight, I can warmly recommend a delightful family run hotel at Ventnor. I have stayed there several times and have always enjoyed a great welcome.
The hotel is run by Paul and Cheryl Judge and over time they have been spending alot of care improving the hotel. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the food is really something to write home about! Delicious fare on every occasion I have visited. It’s a good idea, too, to be hungry for breakfast! The choice is wide and the chef is happy to accommodate your needs. It’s nice to be able to say, also, that there’s never any pressure to hurry over your meals.
For exercise, there’s the coastal walk close by, with stunning views of the sea and landscape as you walk along.
Only one negative to point out. Being close to a hill, there is no signal for mobile phones. You have to go into Ventnor to get a signal.
Finally, take care to book. The hotel is a great favourite and often full. Certainly, one to try and I vow you’ll want to go again. Paul and Cheryl achieve a really welcoming, family feel. I sense another visit coming on!
