This hotel is a perfect hotel owned by Raymond Blanc. The room was spacious and luxurious but of course the highlight is the food. Afternoon tea was delicious as the cakes and pastries were made at the cookery school. Dinner too was superb although I found the menu a little too rich and prefer a more simple recipe.
The grounds of the hotel are great with a vegetable and herb garden to stock the restaurant and cookery school. We spent a day doing the patisserie course and were made welcome and the atmosphere was friendly. The were 10 people in the class.
The prices were high, being a 5 star establishment, £48 for one meat course and £24 for one dessert but the experience was terrific.
